DAY 01
BELGRADE
Start of service. Transfer from airport to Belgrade city centre. Belgrade City Grand Tour with local guide (bus + walk + boat + underground): Belgrade Fortress on the confluence of the River Sava and Danube, Ruzica Church (Rose church - military church built in 19th century in former gunpowder storage on Belgrade Fortress), followed by visit to Army bunker from 1940's, and Kalemegdan tennis courts, where Belgrade-born Novak Djokovic used to train as a youngster.
Coffee break at Question mark restaurant "?", the oldest traditional restaurant (kafana) in Belgrade, dating from 1823. After short brake, we will visit the Saint Saint Sava's Temple, biggest Orthodox Christian church in the world, by volume. This visit will be followed by big boat-cruise on Sava and Danube River (confluence with the Great War Island, Zemun Town, Ada Ciganlija Lake Belgrade fortress...). Optional lunch at restaurant. Afterwards, visit to museum and mausoleum of Tito, president of Yugoslavia and leader of Movement of Non-Aligned Countries during Cold War. Check in 4* hotel, with buffet dinner in hotels restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 02
BELGRADE - SREMSKI KARLOVCI - NOVI SAD
- BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Short bus drive to Sremski Karlovci, small barok town, with wine testing at one of wine cellars that are very common on this area. Tour continues to Petrovaradin Fortress Tour, lead by tour leader, and this fortress is second biggest fortress in Europe, known as "Gibraltar on Danube", built early 17th century. Optional visit to tunnels beneath the fortress, but just some 500 meters of more than 20 kilometers of tunnel network.
After tour, there will be lunch at restaurant on Danube River bank, just beside the fortress, followed by Novi Sad City Tour sightseeing, the secong biggest city in Serbia, with local guide. After Novi Sad City tour there is short transfer to Belgrade. Buffet dinner at hotels restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 03
BELGRADE - SMEDEREVO - LEPENSKI VIR
- BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, there will be short bus transfer to nearby Smederevo, and start of the tour by tour leader led visit of Smederevo Fortress, the biggest lowland fortress of Europe, built at 15th century. We will then have short bus ride to Kostolac and visit Viminacium archaeoligical site, one of the largest Roman cities from 1st century. Again, really short bus ride to Golubac and we visit Golubac Fortress, from 14th century, one of the most beautiful medieval fortresses, located on the Danube River where the Danube is widest (6,5 km) and that's just before the Djerdap Gorge, the largest gorge in Europe (99 kilometers long) where the Danube is deepest (92 meters).
Lunch at the fish restaurant at the bank od Danube. Bus transfer to Lepenski Vir archaeological site, the oldest urban settlement in Europe (7000 years BC). Transfer back to Belgrade. Buffer Dinner at the hotels restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 04
BELGRADE - DIVCIBARE - DRVENGRAD - ZLATIBOR
Early breakfast and check out from hotel. Start of the tour and drive to Sargan, with coffee break at beautiful Divcibare Mountain, well known as "aerial SPA".
At arrival, lunch at ethno restaurant, with diverse Serbian national specialties typical for Western Serbia (lamb and pork under the lid) and of course traditional Serbian rakia alcoholic drink. Train ride through part of old touristic railway called Sargan Eight from 1925. It is a narrow-gauge railway that passes through 22 tunnels, over 5 bridges, and overcome the altitude difference of 300 meters, on a total distance of 15 kilometers. After drive along Sargan Eight railway through beautiful sceneries we will visit ethno village Drvengrad (wooden city), built by Serbian film director Emir Kusturica, who won twice Palm d'Or on Cannes film festival. Follows climb to viewpoint on Tara Mountain that overlooks Drina River and Perucac Lake from 1024 meters altitude. Arrival on Zlatibor Mountain. Check in 4* hotel, with buffet dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 05
ZLATIBOR - UVAC - PODGORICA
Breakfast at hotel and checkout, followed by transfer to Uvac Canyon, where we will have magnificent Uvac cruise, enter Ice Caves and see Griffon vulture, a symbol of Uvac - a special kind of an eagle which was near extinction at the end of the last century.
Lunch. After lunch we will with local huide visit Mileseva Monastery from 13th century with fresco painting of White Angel that is one of the most beautiful European art-works from medieval period. We are then to proceed to Montenegro, and its capital Podgorica. Short sightseeing of Podgorica City, with local guide. Check in at 4* hotel, and a buffet dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 06
PODGORICA - BUDVA - KOTOR - PODGORICA
Breakfast at hotel. Short (1.5h) transfer to Budva City, and a Budva City Tour with local guide. Budva is well known for its fortified old town, sandy beaches on Adriatic Sea and diverse nightlife. Walking sightseeing of fortified Budva old town with tradition of 2500 years. 20 minutes transfer to Kotor, sightseeing of Kotor Town, that trace it's origin back to ancient times dated 2 millennium ago, with beautiful fortress firstly built at 6th century, now with Kotor old town on UNESCO list.
Lunch and then Boat Cruise along Boka Kotorska Bay, including tour of Sveti Stefan, small Island that was pirate fortress in 15th century. Also from the sea you will have chance to see all of this old and new cities in Boka Kotor Bay, fortresses, nature, beaches, islands and caves. Transfer back to Podgorica. Buffet dinner at the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 07
PODGORICA - SKADAR - PODGORICA
Breakfast at hotel, and we continue to Skadar lake, the largest lake on Balkan Peninsula, also it is National Park, that lies on the border of Montenegro and Albania. Boat Cruise on beautiful Skadar Lake with drinks on the boat.
Lunch at the lake. After small break, there will be visit to "13th July" winery, that owns one of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Europe - Cemovsko field, on 2310 acres. You will have chance to taste magnificent wines from this unique wine cellar, biggest on Balkan Peninsula. Short bus transfer back to Podgorica. Free time. Buffet dinner at hotels restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 08
PODGORICA - TREBINJE - MOSTAR - SARAJEVO
Breakfast at hotel and easy check out. Transfer to Trebinje and group leader led Trebinje City Tour. Trebinje is small fortified town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with diverse old architecture, stone-constructed parts of the town and fortress. We will also visit Blagaj Old City, which is a village-town (kasaba) from 16th century, with elements of Ottoman and Mediterranean architecture.
On our way to Mostar we will have lunch on Buna River Spring, that is one of the largest and most beautiful springs in Europe. Visit to Mostar City, with Mostar City Tour. Mostar is named after the bridge built on the Neretva River by the Turkish Ottomans in the 16th century, on UNESCO world heritage list. We go to out 4* hotel, check in and have dinner in hotels restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 08
SARAJEVO
Breakfast at hotel. Local guide will help us experience Sightseeing of Sarajevo capital of Bosna and Hercegovina, founded in 15th century, and popularised by film "Walter defends Sarajevo" with Bata Zivojinovic in lead role. The city is famous for its traditional cultural and religious diversity, with Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism coexisting there for centuries, and due to this it was sometimes called the "Jerusalem of the Balkans". Visit to Konjic Town and place that was the best kept secret in Yugoslavia, a huge bunker built at the mountain, where the leadership of Yugoslav republic planned its atomic war command. It was one of the most expensive structures in the former Yugoslavia. It took 26 years to build (from 1953 to 1979). Transfer back to hotel, with dinner at the hotels restaurant. Free time. Overnight.
DAY 10
SARAJEVO - BELGRADE
Breakfast in hotel and checkout, followed by 6 hour bus transfer from Sarajevo to Belgrade, with lunch at famous Ibarska Magistrala road, well know for fantastic serbian couisine. Check in at the airport. End of service.
